Assurance Manager

The Role
We are looking for an individual to join our rapidly developing Assurance practice at Manager level.

Requirements
- CA / ACCA / CPA qualified with broad ranging audit experience including planning, controlling & completing a diverse range of assignments

Reporting Line: CEO / Group CFO

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviewing bank reconciliations
- Reviewing investment instructions sent to banks & making sure that they are in alignment with the approved instruction
- Reviewing Trust statements of accounts and their reconciliations
- Reviewing & approving purchase orders.
- Reporting any outstanding payables that needs to be settled
- Strategic financial analysis and planning
- Budgeting planning review and analysis
- Responsible for the technical accounts administration for both facultative and treaty business
- Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of all technical bookings, generating reports and statistics
- Supervising and motivating technical accounting staff and responsible for the development of their skills and knowledge, and ensuring adherence to company standards, policies and procedures
- Liaising with Underwriting & Claims department on technical accounting matters and any other related duties as instructed by the management from time to time

- Corresponding with the Central Bank and other regulatory bodies on legal and regulatory issues
- Ensuring timely submission of various statutory returns required by the Central Bank & other regulatory bodies.
- Providing day-to-day direction and working with staff to ensure high performance and work environment that supports achieving the company’s mission, strategic plan, objectives and values
- Establishing and reviewing internal control procedures, mapping & preparing business processes, identifying weaknesses and advising on rectification of controls to enhance efficiency
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting and preference is given to professional qualifications (CA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA).
- At least 5 years of accounting experience with a solid technical background in financial accounting insurance and reinsurance industries;
- Strong analysis and reporting skills to ensure high standard of management and other reports with working knowledge of pivots and financial modeling;
- Well versed in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- Experience in SAP FICO.

The Role
Business Development
- To strategically build and maintain profitable business relationships
- Achieve revenue and non-revenue targets
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities

- The job holder must be a BS degree holder.

The Role
Under general supervision, responsible for responding to moderately complex customer inquiries regarding company products.

The Role

The role will involve the inspection of architectural finishing works, the review and approval of contractor submittals, resolve technical issues arising and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility of Architectural works in the project and certify on completion the installation.
- Monitor performance of the Contractor I Sub-contractor and identify, raise any quality issue
- Review quality procedures and effectively implement plans across the project. Identify any particular site safety issues and bring to the notice of the contractor.
- Mentor the discipline staff on any advancement of process, procedures and technical skills.
Requirements

- Strong quantitative and qualitative risk management skills.
- A degree from a leading international university in Finance/ Accounting/ Business or related subject.
- Post graduate qualifications e.g. CA, FRM, CFA, MBA
- 8 - 10 years experience in risk management or related areas within financial services
