Our client
is a leading international consulting engineering practice providing
engineering solutions to water, infrastructure, marine, building and energy
projects across Ireland, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
The are expanding their Marine and Coastal team based in Bahrain and are looking to recruit a Senior Engineer with 5-7 Years experience in marine and coastal structures. This person would require experience in outfalls, jetties, detailed design of reinforced concrete, rock revetments and so forth.
Although this position is based in Bahrain, you will be required to travel through the Gulf Region for projects.

The Role
Middle
East HR Manager
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will have responsibility for delivering a comprehensive Human Resources (HR) service to the business across its Gulf offices. As an integral part of a firm-wide HR infrastructure, working closely with line management, this role will be responsible for all aspects of HR management including:
Leading and directing the human resource team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business.
* Establishing and implementing new HR policies, processes and systems for the region, whilst advising and making recommendations on HR management guidelines.
* In conjunction with the Head of HR, ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensuring line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.
* Developing with line managers HR solutions to address immediate and long-term staff requirements.
* Representing the business at key government organizations relating to employment and/or HR in Bahrain and the other countries as appropriate, including the Ministry of Labor, Central Bank of Bahrain, Bankers Association of Banks, Embassies.
* Developing and maintaining all HR related documentation in keeping with the firm-wide standards.
* Contribution to the annual compensation benchmarking process and salary surveys through appropriate networking within the local HR communities.
* Learning and development: analysing training needs; providing guidance on training for managers and their teams; planning and delivering training.
* Performance management: supporting managers and employees with appraisal and related processes.
* Monitoring employee engagement and satisfaction, and identifying areas that require improvement across the region.
* Recruitment across all levels: developing job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing and selecting candidates.
* Working with senior managers, coaching and advising on all people issues across the business.
* Running induction and orientation programs for all new joiners; including relocation of employees.
* Administering payroll processes and procedures as well as maintaining employee records.
* Dealing with disciplinary/ grievance/ absence and implementing disciplinary procedures.
* Management of staff benefits programs, including liaison with brokers and insurance providers to negotiate contracts and premiums.
* Advising on labor law and appropriate liaison with local labor counsel.

* Experience of supporting challenging recruitment activities across a wide variety of roles and professional disciplines.
* Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities, whilst working effectively at all levels, building strong relationships across functions and geographies.
* Committed to working as part of a team, with the ability to multi-task.
* Appropriate undergraduate and/or graduate degree.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Arabic language a plus.
