The Role
Our client,
a leading main contractor who has an outstanding reputation for success who has
worked on some of the most prestigious large scale projects and Gulf region is
currently seeking a Deputy HSE Manager to join them in Kuwait.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for Ensuring all the health and safety statutory and contractual requirements are identified;
Monitoring the contractor and all sub-contractor's for HSE compliance to all regulatory and project requirements on a day-to-day basis;
Reviewing and approving Contractor HSE plans (HSE Plan, Fire Safety Plans, Emergency Preparedness / Response Plans, etc);
Actively participate in all HSE activities (HSE Inductions, HSE training & awareness programmes, HSE promotional activities, Tool Box talks, etc.);
Monitoring and coordinating all HSE aspects during the design process (where applicable), ensuring that all the hazards identified & HSE risks are reduced to as low as is reasonably practicable .
Reviewing of all Method Statements and Risk Assessments submitted, especially for critical activities pertaining to HSE;
Planning, organising and conducting daily inspections, audits, HSE etc.
Issuing Improvement Notices (HSE violations) and Prohibitive Notices (HSE stop work notices).
Ensuring timely close out of various HSE notices;
Thorough investigation and follow up of all HSE incidents / accidents (including high potential near misses);
Adoption of best HSE standards, procedures and working practices;
Effective motivation, communication and participation

You will
have:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Diploma - Mechanical, Chemical, Fire & Safety, Environment, Petroleum, Electrical, Civil Engineering from recognized and reputed University (4 years Course).
Minimum 15 years’ experience in the field of Safety in oil & gas, Refinery, Petrochemical Industry.
Successfully completed two or more HSE Certification in NEBOSH Diploma/ Certificates (IGC 1, 2 & 3), General Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, OHSAS 18001, IOSH etc.

We are
looking for a Western Deputy HSE Manager for an EPC department of a western
contractor to work on major Oil & Gas projects in Kuwait.
Job Role:
- The Deputy HSE Manager will be the right-hand of the HSE Manager.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of the HSE plan and ensuring its implementation
- Develop operational procedures and ensuring HSE enforcement
- Organize training in first aid in relation to medical team
- Ensure the monitors working conditions in workshops and areas related to the project
- Ensure the induction to new recruits
- Coordinates the activities of HSE on sites
- Ensure the collection of statistical data sites
- Advise management work in the HSE
- Manage HSE mails
- Be sure to monitor the living conditions at the base camp, in collaboration with the local medical team
