The Role
Our client a
leading international consultancy is currently looking to hire an Oracle DBA to
work on projects throught the UAE. Responsible for installing database
management system software & patches and developing and designing Backup
and Recovery procedures this is a real opportunity to become part of a leading
team.
Requirements
Responsibilities
• Install database management system software and patches
• Develop and design Backup and Recovery procedures
• Review and design Disaster Recovery procedures
• Implement and monitor security and auditing
• Implement Grid Control, scheduling, archiving and monitoring strategies
• Monitor and Tune RAC, CRS, ASM
• Perform data pump and export/import
• Proactive monitoring of database incidents
• Work with the development teams to establish efficient database designs
• Database and SQL High performance tuning
• Research and design database infrastructure
• Design and implement partitioning
Requirements
• 8 years' experience within an Oracle DBA position
• Indepth skills with Oracle e-business suite and its modules
• Database and SQL High performance tuning
• Experience with shell scripting on all platforms
• Design and implement partitioning
• Install database management system software and patches

Requirements
Requirements
Knowledge in Microsoft Infrastructure technologies.
Extensive experience with messaging and cloud administration
Expertise in Antivirus and Patch management.
Experience using virtualization technologies, VMWare / Hyper V, VDI, Citrix Xenapp
Demonstrated experience using Symantec Netbackup 7.5.
In-depth understanding of production operations, server, storage, network, systems management, discrepancy report (DR), and Business recovery practices.
Ability to configure TCP/IP, network interfaces and IP security.
The following skills are desired:
Experience with Microsoft technologies: Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange, etc.;
Experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting virtual environments;
Experience with Linux system administration;
Knowledge of Python;
Experience with NetApp hardware and Cisco networking devices;
Experience with IC systems accreditation DCID 6/3 and ICD 503 standards.
