Business Development Manager
Muscat National Development and Investment Company
Oman
The Role
- Lead and initiate research and development projects in certain industries and sectors to help the company accomplish its goals.
- Lead and manage multiple assigned projects from end to end from initiating till transaction closure.
- Screen, source and recommend potential business and investment opportunities by contacting potential business partners, analysing targeted and potential markets, and conducting different ways and means of networking and deal sourcing.
- Analyze and identify the opportunity of integration of new business ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; and estimating stakeholders’ needs and goals
- Develop, review, and analyze integrated financial models for the different business and investment opportunities.
- Review and analyze financial statements and financial information of specific targeted companies including but not limited to ratio analysis, trend analysis, benchmarking analysis, etc.
- Develop effective working relationship with all stakeholders and team members, and build a robust strategic relationship with partners, government authorities and other stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and external project team meetings, track key project milestones, provide direction, and raise issues to management as necessary and required.
- Transfer knowledge to subordinates through coaching and mentoring to uplift their competencies as per job requirement.
- Lead and liaise the desktop and third party financial, commercial, technical, and legal due diligence.
- Lead the preparation of investment proposals and presentations to management committee, executive committee, board of directors, and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate and liaise the final transaction closure process and documentation.
- Initiate and lead the development of sector and location specific strategies for the company.
- Prepare and lead the negotiation of the project and investment structure and terms with counterparties.
- Conduct and liaise the debt and equity placement for the project including the preparation of Private Placement Memorandums and other related documents.
- Focus on developing skills in the area of business development, investment analysis, and leadership.
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Take leadership in investment recommendation and support decision making on investments in various sectors by providing sufficient related information and analysis.
- Manage, mentor, and coach staff within the team ensuring the greatest efficiency for the projects and encouraging all staff to meet their potential
Requirements
- BSc Accounts/Finance, CFA , MBA or equivalent
- 8+ years experience in relevant field
Skills, Professional certificates & Competencies Required/Know How:
- Very Good written and spoken skills in Arabic & English
- Very Good Negotiation, Communication and Presentation Skills
- Excellent skills in Market Due Diligence, Financial & Feasibility Studies
- Excellent Leadership skills

Senior / Planning Engineer

The Role
- Develop, maintain, and update master program for the project(s) and integrate these projects (inclusive of timelines, capital, resource requirements) into the Master Integrated Project Plan
- Develop, maintain and update a detailed working program for the project activities and milestones and allocate the resources required.
- Monitor projects(s) progress according to the approved program(s) and report variances.
- Proactively identify potential bottlenecks/schedule slips/problems and recommend solutions/options.
- Work closely with procurement team to develop procurement schedule in line with approved project program and maintain inventory levels of critical long-lead items and consumable equipment/materials
- Knowledge / Experience in P6.1 & above, MSP and ERP system.
Requirements
- Bsc Civil or equivalent.
- 28 to 10 years’ experience in reputable construction company/companies with heavy involvement in construction operation.
- Knowledge / Experience in P6.1 & above, MSP and ERP system.
