We are in urgent need for a Rail Security Manager for Oman Rial projects.
The Rail Security Manager is responsible for leading and directing the development and implementation of Oman Rail’s corporate rail security and public safety policy, so as to safeguard project implementation and business operations and comply with international standards, industry best practice, statutory and local regulatory requirements.
Managing key stakeholders’ needs and expectations, which may politically, technically and financially sensitive and of a critical national importance.
Identification and mitigation of security risks pertaining to Oman Rail’s infrastructure, systems and operations.

Requirements
- Bachelor
degree in engineering, ICT or logistics (or equivalent) preferable.
- Professional qualification in security required (e.g. ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code) (or equivalent)).
- Professional qualification in HSE preferred (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate or equivalent).
- Certified ISO Security Auditor (CISA) preferred.
- A recognised training qualification would be desirable for this role.
- Previous high level security clearance from a national security institution
- At least 20 year’s progressive experience in security management is required, including working within law enforcement (e.g. police, armed forces etc.) or emergency services and/or similar “first responder” organisations.
- Proven, international experience working within a rail and major project environment (e.g. ports, airports, utilities), including Middle East.

The Role

Responsibilities include overall Site Management and coordination with Project
Manager/Senior Project Manager, clients, consultant, main contractor,
subcontractors, and in house project team to maintain the progress in line with
build program. Deployment of manpower, assign responsibilities to the Engineers
& subcontractors
- Progress measurement and reporting to PM/SPM and planning department. Attending coordination workshop and meetings with consultant, main contractor, subcontractor and in house team
- Leading controlling & monitoring the activities of subordinates & subcontractors issuing proper technical specification to ensure installations are as per project quality standards, in line with programs & Budget
- Lead by example & ensure compliance to Honeywell, Project & Legislative Health & Safety Regulations
- Coordinating with Procurement & engineering department to deliver the material & design on time to deliver the project on time
- Supporting Commissioning team to close out the comments and to ensure the smooth commissioning of the Project within the time limits and Budget
- Supporting QS / Commercial Manager with claim management and identifying variation orders
