The Role
1. Analysis
of applicable CMA related laws / regulations, internal standards and code of
conduct requirements for the assigned departments, developing a comprehensive
checklist on the regulations and developing a mechanism for effective
implementation of requirements.
2. Update the checklist on changes in the regulations and provide this to the responsible departmental heads
3. Regulatory (CMA/MSM) correspondence and relationship management. Providing information and reports as requested by the regulators.
4. Ensure timely submission on regulatory returns and review the returns.
5. Conduct risk assessment of the assigned department
6. On-going monitoring of the assigned department and issuing non-compliance reports to the responsible departments
7. Escalation and track closure of the reported issue in the on-going reports
8. Issue compliance advises on relevant regulatory issues
9. Review and provide inputs on policies/procedures/products from compliance and governance perspective on CMA related issues
10. Provide Compliance trainings to the assigned departments
11. Providing information to the Internal Auditors and CMA/CBO regulators when audits are conducted in the bank.
12. Tracking closure of the issues raised by the regulator for the assigned department and report to the Head of Compliance.
13. Ensure Staff trading is in conformity with CMA requirements.
14. Any other Compliance related tasks assigned by the Head of Compliance.
